Shepherd - Large - Adult - Male - Dog - T-Bone

T-Bone is a wonderful boy. He's about 3 years old and so well behaved! He gets along with all the dogs at the rescue and loves people, big and small. TBone came to us when his guardian suddenly died. T-Bone had nowhere to go but to a rescue. After a couple of months spent mourning the loss of his guardian, T-Bone had to be taught how to get along with other dogs, how to go potty outside, and most importantly, how to live a happy life again. T-Bone is getting there, and all he needs now is a loving family to return all that love he has to give! TBone rides well in the car, behaves at the vet, and listens when you speak to him. He will make a wonderful family pet - he can go anywhere -- dog parks, long walks, hikes, you name it. TBone just wants to be part of a loving family! When applying please consider your application seriously. We are unpaid volunteers trying to save these animals in addition most of us have jobs and famililies to provide for. When applying for an animal don't apply unless you are seriously considering taking a rescued animal into your home. To apply based on curiousity only and then backing out is time we wasted and kept us from saving another dog. Once you are official notified by e-mail that your application has been approved you have 24 hours to make the donation. If the donation is not made in the time period allowed the next person on the list will be considered. We will not consider your application for any of our rescued dogs in the future. FOR PUPPIES: HOMES CONSIDERING PUPPIES MUST BE PREPARED FOR:FLEXIBLE SCHEDULES FOR POTTY TRAINING-THEY CAN ONLY "HOLD" IT FOR ONE HOUR PER MONTH OF AGE.CRATE TRAINING FOR THE NEXT 10 MONTHS KEEPS THEM FROM CHEWING EVERYTHING IN SIGHT.SUPERVISION WITH CHILDREN, AND OBEDIENCE TRAINING.SOCIALIZATION-A GOOD DOG MUST BE EXPOSED TO A LOT OF STIMULATION AS A PUPPY SO THAT NEW PEOPLE AND ENVIRONMENTS DO NOT INTIMIDATE THEM AS ADULTS. THE MORE POSITIVE EXPERIENCES -IN AND OUT OF THE HOME- AS A PUPPY, THE BETTER.ADOPTERS THAT WANT TO HAVE GOOD DOGS MUST BE PREPARED TO PUT THE TIME AND EFFORT INTO TRAINING. PUPPIES IN PARTICULAR ARE A LOT OF WORK !! THEIR BEHAVIOR AND STAGES ARE EQUIVALENT TO A 2 OR 3 YEAR OLD CHILD. IT TAKES A FULL YEAR TO HAVE A CALMER, WELL ADJUSTED DOG! PLEASE DO NOT CONSIDER ADOPTING A PUPPY IF YOU HAVE NOT THOROUGHLY THOUGHT THROUGH THE PROS AND CONS OF A PUPPY...PUPPIES CHEW, JUMP AND THEY CAN BE HYPER. THIS IS NORMAL PUPPY BEHAVIOR.PATIENCE, TOYS, SOCIALIZATION, SUPERVISION AND OBEDIENCE TRAINING IS A MUST!!All known information is listed here. We do our best to give accurate information, but most of our dogs are rescues and don't come with a known history. We do our best to estimate age, breed and health, but we are giving an educated guess.
