All Fudge wants is her person! Give her 15 mins and she will love you. She loves belly rubs and laps, gives kisses and when she isn't on your lap she is on the move. She has been lease trained, and is good in her kennel, in fact will sleep in there, but would prefer the bed. She is an unusual looking Chi, beautiful with her chocolate coat, 4 white paws & looks like she has a white shirt and suit jacket on. She also has an unusual dark strip running down her back ... she is one of a kind! She is being trained to go potty outside. She is living with another chi who she really likes and cat (who she ignores). Fudge is about 2 years old and 8 lbs, and could stand to lose a few (should be 5 or 6 lbs). Her foster Mom loves her and wants to find the perfect home for her! When applying please consider your application seriously. We are unpaid volunteers trying to save these animals in addition most of us have jobs and families. When applying for an animal don't apply unless you are serious about taking a rescued animal into your home. To apply based on curiosity only to back out has cost another animal its life since the time we spent on your application could have been used to save another life.Once you are official notified by e-mail that your application has been approved, you have 24 hours to contact the rescue, and follow through with the next steps for adoption. In the past, we have many many adopters act very serious and excited about their new dog and the day of transport they were a no-show. This was very distressing on our volunteers and especially sad for the once again abandoned dogs :-(If a dog or puppy is already being fostered in New England and you feel you must meet the dog to finalize an adoption, only a reasonable amount of time will be allowed to accomplish this task, otherwise the next person on the list will be allowed to visit and possibly adopt the dog. If after agreeing to adopt one of our fur babies you decide to back out we will not consider another attempt to adopt from us in the future. FOR PUPPIES: HOMES CONSIDERING PUPPIES MUST BE PREPARED FOR:FLEXIBLE SCHEDULES FOR POTTY TRAINING-THEY CAN ONLY "HOLD" IT FOR ONE HOUR PER MONTH OF AGE.CRATE TRAINING FOR THE NEXT 10 MONTHS KEEPS THEM FROM CHEWING EVERYTHING IN SIGHT.SUPERVISION WITH CHILDREN, AND OBEDIENCE TRAINING.SOCIALIZATION-A GOOD DOG MUST BE EXPOSED TO A LOT OF STIMULATION AS A PUPPY SO THAT NEW PEOPLE AND ENVIRONMENTS DO NOT INTIMIDATE THEM AS ADULTS. THE MORE POSITIVE EXPERIENCES -IN AND OUT OF THE HOME- AS A PUPPY, THE BETTER.ADOPTERS THAT WANT TO HAVE GOOD DOGS MUST BE PREPARED TO PUT THE TIME AND EFFORT INTO TRAINING. PUPPIES IN PARTICULAR ARE A LOT OF WORK !! THEIR BEHAVIOR AND STAGES ARE EQUIVALENT TO A 2 OR 3 YEAR OLD CHILD. IT TAKES A FULL YEAR TO HAVE A CALMER, WELL ADJUSTED DOG! PLEASE DO NOT CONSIDER ADOPTING A PUPPY IF YOU HAVE NOT THOROUGHLY THOUGHT THROUGH THE PROS AND CONS OF A PUPPY...PUPPIES CHEW, JUMP AND THEY CAN BE HYPER. THIS IS NORMAL PUPPY BEHAVIOR.PATIENCE, TOYS, SOCIALIZATION, SUPERVISION AND OBEDIENCE TRAINING IS A MUST!!All known information is listed here. We do our best to give accurate information, but most of our dogs are rescues and don't come with a known history. We do our best to estimate age, breed and health, but we are giving an educated guess.
